Job description Accurately estimating the correct numbers of personnel with the right skills base is crucial to the efficient delivery of work. The role will match the current workforce with expectant forecasted work and advise the management team and line managers of any personnel shortfalls and over-staffing. It will also ensure that timely and accurate information is generated to enable personnel within projects and the supporting teams to be assigned to efficiently deliver work
Provide accurate and timely resource information for both current and forecast work in order that managers can resource teams effectively
Advise the management team in order to optimally assign and manage personnel numbers
Continually assess the “actual” resource requirements against that “estimated” in order to improve the efficiency of resource placement and work delivery
Report clearly and accurately on the current and forecast resource placement and requirements within teams
Liaise closely with the Planning function within the Tender team in order to fully understand the forecast information
Personally responsible for the quality of their work, whilst making a positive contribution to the quality of both the department and the work carried out by their colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Minimum NVQ Level 3 or ONC qualification (or equivalent)
Working knowledge in Word, Windows and Excel.
Working knowledge in computer planning software.
Demonstrable experience in relevant industry position.
Detail Planning – ability to use when further details is required below activity level of network (e.g. documents, work orders, procurement milestones).
Network Planning - establishing and maintenance of precedence network with logical constraints.
Proven ability in very detailed planning executed in a short time period.
Manpower Projection Plan (MPP) – Establish and Maintain MPP for projects
Personnel coordination – Liaise with line management and project discipline leads to secure optimal managing of projects. Mobilisation and demobilisation
