Job description OBJECTIVES/SCOPE

To provide engineering support to production and others as necessary both internal and external to the company.
To deliver products of high quality and reliability and delivered to the clients need dates.

This post would ideally suit an experienced engineer, who has relevant demonstrable experience within the oil industry; the individual should be self reliant, determined and confident with excellent technical and communication skills.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-To work to the required procedures and processes to meet the company target of zero LTI’s.
-Identifying production processes, including test equipment and test methods to improve production processes, improving the quality and reducing lead times.
-Working closely with other engineering teams during the design phase to minimise production hours and quality challenges.
-Supporting production and other departments with raising and dispositioning non conformities.
-Working on first off new builds identifying production improvements and design improvements to minimise production hours and lead times.
-Analyse all necessary documentation prior to production requirements and creating the necessary work packages.
-Developing standard works instructions to ensure high quality of workmanship within production.
-Responsible for process improvements and standardised work practices.
-Generating work packages that are error free.
-Monitoring the revision of documentation so that all documentation on the production floor is always at the latest revision.
-Marking up documentation on the shop floor and informing engineering of the required amendments.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
-HNC / Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Discipline or equivalent.
-Relevant demonstrable experience in the industry.
-Experience on how to motivate staff.
-Knowledge on how to create systems of work within a production facility.
-Computer literate, good knowledge of systems such as SAP and non conformity systems.
