Job description To receive, issue, locate, pick, maintain and ship all commodities within the Warehousing facility, ensuring that all transactions are executed through the MRP system (SAP). During the execution of this role there will be a requirement to use mechanical lifting equipment in the form of Fork Lift trucks, hand pallet trucks and overhead cranes, additionally, rigging and slinging activities will also form part of the job scope as will the use of hand tools.
Daily husbandry of Company or client inventory.
Ensuring accurate stock checks are carried out and systems updated with correct information.
To comply with HM Customs and Excise legislation.
Maintain a tidy Warehouse, including the Yard and other areas under Warehouse control.
Ensure that all activities are carried out with due regard to HSE regulations / legislation and in accordance with the companies procedures and policies.
Printing off of all Work Orders, Out bounds and Commercial invoices.
Picking of Work Orders.
Consolidating, crating and shipping of consignments.
Assisting with Goods receiving where necessary
Establishing details of all material shortages for production orders once they have been kitted
Communicating relevant detail within reports to relevant parties for action and then follow through to closure (e.g. items still to be ordered by buyer, items still to go through Goods Inward inspection)
Liaise with Buyer, Material / Inventory Co-ordinator, Supplier, Goods Receiving to anticipate and manage priorities through the Supply Chain.
Assist where required with the expediting of suppliers where materials are still to be delivered either to ensure on time delivery or to gain improved delivery dates.
To report current supplier delivery commitments to Buyers and update data into SAP system.
To establish and maintain a process for regular, effective and efficient follow up/expediting.
Overall, ensure shortage material flows through to manufacturing in a timely manner through expediting each stage of the supply chain.
Carry out duties using various computer software packages.
Liaise with all relevant departments to establish all project and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Company’s Health & Safety regulations and policy
Actively participate in the Company’s quality and values culture.
Be prepared to perform other duties which require essentially the same level of skill and responsibility.
Perform any other work related task as requested by the Supply Chain Group Leader, ensuring that consistently high levels of professionalism are applied at all times

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Forklift operators certificate
Working knowledge in Word, Windows and Excel.
Working knowledge in SAP preferred
Ability to work offshore and overseas preferred
Overhead crane/Slinger Banksman certificate preferred
Spills training preferred
Waste transfer note training preferred
