    Typical responsibilities you will have include:
  • TR sizing and pathway calculations
  • Backbone cabling distribution: selecting media type and quantity / termination hardware
  • Horizontal cabling distribution: selecting media type and quantity / termination hardware
  • Assisting other engineers with technical research and report writing
  • Working on projects using 3D AutoCAD
  • Attending training seminars/vendor presentations and learning from listening, asking questions and discussion
  • Working with engineers from other disciplines and/or vendors to coordinate the design and gain knowledge on new subjects.
  • Attending meetings - listening, asking questions. Be involved in discussions with other disciplines and Architects to gain knowledge & experience.

  • Requirements
  • BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications, Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering
  • Core interest in the ICT engineering industry with an emphasis on the building/campus environment.
  • MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Skills in planning and organizing
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing.
  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork


  • Preferred:
  • 3.2 GPA or higher, Master’s Degree in related field
  • Coursework in Electrical Power Systems Design and Building Systems Design
  • Internship experience in a consulting firm with emphasis on ICT design.
  • Academic research or testing with relevant focus. Membership in BISCI.
  • Experience with AutoCad, MS Project and technical writing.
  • Proven ability to perform in a deadline situation
  • Past history of technical presentations and technical writing, knowledge sharing with peers
  • Evidence of teamwork and leadership such as professional accomplishment or honor society.
