Description

Based at RSME Minley, in Surrey; we wish to appoint a MT Operations Planner - IFS and White Fleet. Reporting to the MT Manager, the key accountabilities of the job holder will be as follows:

 

  • Providing Motor Transport Services in accordance with the Project Contract between the MOD and Holdfast Training Services (HTS)
  • Organise efficient and effective delivery of the day-to-day transport requirements of a busy Military Training Establishment.
  • Optimum planning of transport/plant solutions to meet client need.
  • Correct detailing of drivers to vehicles in accordance with driver licensing legislation and driving permit regulations.
  • Completion of all transport document requirements in accordance with regulatory and legislative publications and orders.
  • Liaison with 145 Brigade HQ  in all matters of the UK White Fleet Vehicle Contract.
  • Monthly completion of Data Capture Cards.
  • Management of the authority and Company fuel agency cards.
  • Efficient and effective control and management of the various systems (IFS/MIS) and its associated contractual processes, compliances and reporting regimes.
  • Efficient and effective control of all Company Vehicle Assets, owned or leased and their associated processes and reporting regimes.

 

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the folllowing:

 

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Recognised vocational transport control qualifications, including military training courses.
  • Previous fleet planning experience in a large transport organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of Multi-Categorised Vehicle Fleet, including PCV, LGV and Plant Machinery.
  • Experience of relevant MOD operations would be advantageous.
  • Experience in a Support Services environment
