Job Description

Overview
Working for the number one credit card lender in Europe, this is an opportunity to be part of a successful and credible credit risk team in a fast paced and forward thinking environment.

In this role you will be primarily responsible for producing loss forecasts for various Europe Card Services (ECS) products by the relevant deadlines.  You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing developments to the portfolio forecasting models based on analysis of underlying trends.

Main Responsibilities
• Produce loss forecasts for ECS products in line with monthly deadlines, which will include:
o Production of loss forecasts for review by senior management
o Working with the ECS Econometrician to ensure that appropriate macroeconomic overlays are included in each scenario forecast;
o Ongoing development of the portfolio forecast models based on trend and business analysis
o Insight and explanation of movements against the previous and historical forecasts
o Liaison with various stakeholders across the business to ensure inputs and outputs are managed effectively
o Production of debt management portfolio forecasts as an input into provision calculations performed by Finance
o Adherence with all applicable policies and procedures
• Assist with the implementation of enhancements in loss forecasting governance and control
• Produce Credit Risk Stress Testing forecasts and any documentation required as part of the ICAAP process
• Provide coaching to more junior members of the team

What are we looking for?
Required:
• Proven experience in forecasting within a Financial Services company
• Strong numeric / analytical background
• Advanced excel skills
• Highly organised individual with a low tolerance for errors and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines
• Self motivated and flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Understanding of business P&L and its key drivers.

Preferred:
• Degree / Masters in Maths or related subject
• Technical skills including Visual Basic and SAS programming
• Loss Forecasting experience
