Job Description
OVERVIEW:
Bank of America requires an Associate Relations Specialist on a 9 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. You will be responsible for providing Associate Relations support to business areas across our Carrick on Shannon site and will report into the UK & Ireland Head of Associate Relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Pro actively manage Associate Relations in line with legislation requirements and the core values of the organisation.
• Handle complex formal disciplinary cases involving claims brought directly by Managers or referred from the Advisory team.
• Handle formal grievances involving claims brought by Associates, handle the case investigation and manage the Hearing or Appeal process briefing decision makers and producing all required grievance documentation.
• Handle any resulting disciplinary actions or dismissals.
• Track details of all disciplinaries and grievances to produce score cards and metrics and identify training and communication opportunities.
• Support the Legal team on any case litigation, questionnaires and correspondence.
• Provide policy and process guidance, counselling, coaching and advice to Managers and Associates dealing with difficult, complex and sensitive issues as well as routine issues.
• Work with Line of Business Managers and HR Generalists to handle complex/senior performance management issues through to conclusion.
• Contribute to related projects as required.
CORE SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Essential
• 5 + years experience in dealing with Associate Relations issues.
• CIPD Qualified or equivalent.
• Functional expertise in the application of employment law, HR policy and process.
• Ability to make decisions and agree strategic approaches to balancing the risk reward trade off in each case.
• Ability to influence with impact and credibility across all levels of the company.
• Ability to manage and prioritize numerous objectives, projects or activities simultaneously.
• Must be comfortable working under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to operate independently on own initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be flexible in adapting to a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Preferred
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high volume team
