We’re looking for an Optometry Co-ordinator to work as part of a team to deliver total satisfaction to our customers and play an active part in the achievement of the store’s targets.
You’ll effectively co-ordinate the smooth running of the reception and waiting area as well as the in-store appointment booking system. You’ll conduct initial eye examinations utilising the in-store equipment available as required and be the main link between the Optometry desk and the Professional Services team. You’ll also work with the Store Manager to schedule optometry and contact lens cover in the clinics.
You’ll be pro-active in this role and always think ahead. Should a problem arise you’ll be the one to fix it to ensure our customers face no inconvenience during their visit.
You’ll also act as an ambassador for Vision Express ensuring every customer is welcomed into the store and to ensure their expectations are exceed throughout the customer journey.

| Requirements |
Ideally you’ll:
• Be educated to GCSE grade C and above including English and Maths
• Have basic IT skills
• Have previous retail and customer service experience
• Have effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience in optics or experience in a similar production/manufacturing environment
You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with good customer service. Team work also forms a big part of our culture so the ability to work well with other people is essential. You’ll also need to be enthusiastic and have a willingness to learn.
