  • Build Loads for trucks, review driver completions, determine customer service levels
  • Researches, analysis and evaluates relevant information to drive efficiencies.
  • Identifies issues that may impact the quality of work and takes initiative to address issues whenever appropriate.
  • Utilizes technology to effectively gather and respond to requests for information by both internal and external sources.
  • Shares knowledge of product and service offerings with a broad audience.
  • Takes ownership until a problem is resolved.
  • Takes personal responsibility for following through on promises and commitments.
  • Is accountable and openly confronts issues to achieve business results.
  • Drives collective ownership of team goals and objectives.

  • Provides analysis utilizing best practices and runs own report for area (stand by time, travel time, productivity, activity analysis, work hours, exception reports).
  • Utilizes various scenarios to provide recommendations to management (optmizing performance, costs savings, opportunity anaylsis, etc.)
  • Understands impact of own decisions and actions on business outcomes related to own area of responsibility.
  • Effectively brings forward and where applicable, implements recommendations, suggestions and/or strategies to optimize performance and proactively address issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring there is time allocated for future bookings based on capacity and demand forecast.
  • Maximize the productivity and efficiencies by locating calls in the same zone.
  • Ensure each driver for own area is productive.
Requirements:
  • Post Secondary Education and/or equivalent experience in a customer service environment required.
  • 2-3 years operations or customer service experience.  Previous exposure to the distribution industry would be as asset.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.  Good communication skills both verbal and written.  Team Player that can accept shared responsibility.  Excellent customer service skills.
  • Problem solving skills, strong analytical skills, excellent computer skills, attention to detail and effective time management.  
  • Geography (Canada and New England), Truck Utilization Concepts, Trucking Industry, Compliance regulations, metric conversions on gallons, miles, barrels
  • Must have strong asset management skills, time management skills, and analytical & problem solving skills, Be computer competent and team oriented
  • Previous load planning/dispatching experience would be an asset
  • Must be able to work productively in a dynamic stressful environment
