NATURE OF WORK: This is skilled work at the sub-journey level in a trade such as plumbing, carpentry, street marking, or ice rink maintenance.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in at least two of the building trades. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in the building trades. Knowledge of the occupational hazards Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operations. Knowledge of the geography of the City. Skill in the use and maintenance of assigned tools and equipment. Ability to understand sketches, plans, and area maps. Ability to prepare reports of work completed and materials used. Ability to understand written or oral instructions. Ability to reach, balance, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift up to 100% of the time and to climb and stoop from 50 to 75% of the time. Ability to use up to one hundred (100) pounds of force occasionally, up to fifty (50) pounds of force frequently, and up to twenty (20) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
